Apr 20, 2018Henri was retired from the North Carolina School System after 32 years. She was a member of the Morning Star United Methodist Church of Canton. She was a very talented artist, crafts person and homemaker.Henri was the daughter of the late Tom and Ruby King of Canton.She was preceded in death by her son, Cliff.She is survived by her husband, Carrol Proffitt, Newport; stepson, Aaron (Melissa) Proffitt, Newport, and three special granddaughters, Reece, Kaylyn and Payton Proffitt; daughter, Geri Ramsey, Maggie Valley; brothers, Stanley King, North Carolina, Tommy (Becky) King, Thomasville; grandsons, Shane, Christopher and Tom, great-grandson, Chance and special cousin, June Wiggins of Canton.She is also survived by a host of very special friends, Ronnie and Donna Davis, Jerry and Cindy Craving, Gordon and Linda Cox, Tom and Vonna Graham, Dwight and Patsy Porter, Chuck and Michele Sowards, Rick and Regina Morris, the YaYa’s and many close friends.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, April 21, with funeral services following at 7 p.m. in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Runions officiating.There will also be a service at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Wells Funeral Home Chapel in Canton, with Rev. Randy Runions officiatingThe family will receive friends at 1 p.m. -3 p.m. at Wells Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.Burial will follow in the Morning Star United Methodist Church Cemetery.
